This month:
May 3rd & 10th - TRIO TS Staff met with the St. Anne High School students during their lunches to talk about Financial Literacy and Combating the "Summer Brain Drain"
May 15th - Our Junior High students went to Schaumburg, IL to experience the marvelous Medieval Times and learn all about the Knight's Code of Chivalry!
May 20th - Our students celebrated their accomplishments and got to learn about fine dining etiquette with a lunch at Rigo's Place in kankakee and a presentation provided by the Etiquette School of Chicago!
Next Month:
June 10th - 13th - Junior High Summer STEM camp. During the week, students will get the chance to do activities such as Horticulture and learn about plant systems, mindfulness, social emotional learning, and much more. Students will also get to go to the Forge Adventure park in Lemont, IL on the 13th, however they MUST attend ALL THREE camp days to attend the trip!
June 21st - First Generation Training. This event will guide you to many different resources, teach you different routes to success, provide you with team building opportunities, dismantle your self-doubt and foster authentic confidence within yourself! June 24th - 27th - High School Summer STEM Camp. Students will get the chance to do activities related to physics, building, and understanding how roller coasters work. Students will also get the chance to view their learnings in action on the 27th for a day trip to Six Flags, however they MUST attend ALL THREE camp days to attend this trip!
