June 23rd-26th, 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. with transportation and meals provided daily.

This year's camp will be focused on the psychological effects of music by collaborating with HER Records, Inc. out of Atlanta, GA, to record a song and create a music video!

Your student is invited to participate in our Say It With Music Junior High School Summer program, hosted by TRIO Talent Search. This unique experience is designed for junior high school students who are passionate about music and want to explore its many forms of expression. Participants will engage in workshops, creative sessions, and music composition/videos that deepen their understanding of music as a powerful tool for communication and self-expression.

In addition, we will be taking Junior High School students to the Beauty and the Beast Broadway Show on Wednesday, July 23rd, at 1 pm. With this experience, students will have a chance to do career exploration enriched with art, music, and social practices. Students are required to attend the summer camp to be eligible to attend this trip. In addition, students will eat at Xoco's Restaurant, providing an authentic dining experience to our students.

Time: Transportation 9am-10am, Camp 10am-3pm, Transportation 3pm-4pm
Location: KCC Riverfront Campus

Meals: Students will receive breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day.
Transportation: Provided daily

Parent Drop off at KCC: 9am
Transportation to XOCO: 9:30am-11am
Lunch: 11am-12pm
Transportation back to KCC: 4:00pm-5:30pm
Parent pick-up at KCC: 5:30pm

Event Cost: Free to TRIO Talent Search Participants who have attended all four days of the Summer STEM Camp

Meals: Students will receive lunch for the day, so please ensure they have a full and hearty breakfast.
