Get organized: Open a bank account (if you haven’t already) Start a savings account. Use credit wisely: Start with an account that has a low limit and use it sparingly at first, remembering to pay it off in full every month. Create a budget: Total income (work, financial aid, scholarships, etc.) - Total expenses (tuition, books, bills, etc.) Commit to it! Keep track Create a routine for yourself that includes a regular accounting of your finances. Get a job Most colleges have work-study programs that allow you to create a work schedule around your schooling.
