What you can do to get started on your journey to a Plastic Free July. Use your own cup: Bring or borrow a reusable coffee cup. Find plastic-free alternatives when buying fruit & veggies. Bring your bag: Use reusable shopping bags when shopping. Use reusable straws or wash used plastic straws. Use reusable water bottles instead of buying plastics ones. Make it a priority to get back onto a regular sleep schedule, commit to eating healthy, and carve some time out every day to get moving—even if it’s just a short walk around the block. If you have a space that you’ve devoted to studying—whether that’s an office or a spare bedroom—consider switching things up and finding a new environment to work in. If that’s not an option, you can also rework your existing space to make it more calm, comfortable, and conducive to studying. If need be, try some noise canceling headphones or earplugs! Tip 1 refine your routine.

Although it’s important to try and stick to your study schedule, there is room for flexibility throughout the semester as your needs and priorities change. It’s all about finding a system that works best for you academically, professionally, and personally. Tip 2 create a study schedule.

Instead, focus on small, achievable daily tasks that you can check off your to-do list. It’s also a good idea to give yourself a change of scenery when you take a time-out from studying as it can provide a mental re-set. How to Fight Summer Brain Drain. 1. Summer Reading - Reading can help engage students specific interests and passions. Many colleges or internships will ask about activities/interests. It becomes easy to answer if you prioritize summer reading, whether it’s books, newspapers, magazines, blogs, or other publications. 2. ummer programs - These programs enable you to engage in educational activities and have fun at the same time. Do some research to find programs that match your interests like photography, art, writing, science, and more. 3. Summer courses - Taking an in-person or online course on an unfamiliar topic or a hobby can lead to an enriched summer — learning to cook cuisine, paint with watercolors, play a musical instrument, or speak a foreign language.. 4. Volunteering - Giving time to a worthy cause can help you see social issues in a new light and find new interests.
